One of the highlights of the property is the rooftop deck, offering stunning views of the West Maui Mountains and neighboring islands of Kahoʻolawe and Lanaʻi. The ample seating allows for perfect sunset gatherings, and during winter months, doubles as an excellent place to whale watch!

The property is home to a charming and beautiful outdoor garden, perfect for hosting an afternoon meal with friends or intimate wedding reception. Gas barbecue grills are available for use.
Location
If sunset gazing, salty breezes, and surprisingly secluded beaches are your thing, the Kohea Kai has you covered. Only 30 steps from Mai Poina ʻOe laʻu Beach in Kihei, guests can enjoy a morning walk or sunset lounge largely to themselves. While not as swimmer-friendly as some of the other beaches in South Kihei and Wailea, largely due to strong winds that make it one of the best areas for wind and kitesurfing, you also won’t have to fight a crowd for a spot under the surrounding palm trees.
The North Kihei location makes it quick and painless to get to many of the other popular areas of the island, including Maalaea Harbor, West Maui, Iao Valley, Upcountry, and the Road to Hana, while still being only a 5 to 10-minute drive to South Maui’s best attractions and activities.
