Launiupoko is the area just south of Lahaina Town in a less developed area along the slopes of the West Maui Mountains. We had a chance to spend some time at a pool party at one of the estates there. The views are pretty much as good as they can get, especially during sunset. Let’s hope it doesn’t get more built up than it is because we really enjoy how mellow and untouched this area is. Of course, that’s probably a fantasy considering money usually wins when it comes to getting building permits in undeveloped Maui areas. Sad.
